Requirements for Masters, Doctoral and Postdoctoral internships 

Masters requirements:

  • Have completed an undergraduate degree in relevant field of study (psychology, medicine, pharmacology, biology, etc.)

  • Proof of academic excellence

  • Good command of English, basic knowledge of French is an asset

  • Two letters of reference bearing witness to one’s abilities to conduct research and interpersonal communication skills

Doctoral requirements:

  • Completion of  Masters degree in research (clinical or fundamental)

  • Demonstrate scientific writing competency (proof of first authorship on manuscript published in peer-reviewed journal would be an asset)

  • Autonomous in identifying relevant and current research query, and further ability to develop well structured study project to pursue query

  • Able to supervise interns

  • Acute sense of professional ethics and sound judgment

  • Professional experience would be an asset

  • Good command of English, basic knowledge of French is an asset

  • Three letters of reference bearing witness to one’s abilities to conduct research and interpersonal communication skills

Postdoctoral requirements:

  • Completion of Doctorate degree

  • Autonomy is scientific writing ( must submit a minimum of 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals)

  • Able to coordinate research team and supervise trainees

  • Experience in project conceptualization, proposal and grantmanship writing

  • Previous successful applications to scholarship competitions

  • Good command of English, basic knowledge of French is an asset
